As we expand our digital offerings, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to lead our online education initiatives and premium content subscription program. Our online content is designed to drive traffic to our 400 schools worldwide.

We are looking for a highly organized and engaging Online Education & Community Manager to oversee and grow our online learning programs and premium content subscription service. This role is responsible for curating, scheduling, and hosting live online classes while driving engagement and growth for our premium content membership. The ideal candidate has experience in digital education, content marketing, and online community engagement.

The position is full-time, i.e., 40 hours per week. It is a remote position, so you must have a reliable, quiet work environment and be capable of working without close supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Online Classes Management

Identify and recruit subject matter experts and presenters for live online classes.
Manage scheduling, logistics, and promotion of live and recorded classes.
Act as the host and moderator during live classes to ensure smooth delivery and audience engagement.
Collaborate with presenters to refine and enhance their content for maximum impact.
Track attendance, feedback, and performance metrics to optimize future classes.

Premium Content Subscription

Develop and execute strategies to increase premium membership subscribers.
Highlight and feature ASA schools to drive traffic and certifications for ASA affiliates
Source and manage content experts to provide exclusive, high-quality digital content.
Broadcast and repurpose premium content on social media platforms to attract new users.
Actively participate in forums, discussions, and social media to boost user engagement.
Analyze user behavior, feedback, and revenue trends to refine the subscription offering.

Skills / Qualifications

2+ years of experience in online education, digital content creation, or community engagement.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
Comfortable on camera and experienced in hosting live online events (e.g., webinars, virtual classes).
Experience working with presenters, educators, or content creators.
Familiarity with digital marketing, audience growth strategies, and social media engagement.
Passion and knowledge of sailing is mandatory.

American Sailing is seeking a qualified, innovative, and organized Director of Educational Development. In this role, the Director of Educational Development will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other educational stakeholders to develop and oversee the creation of new textbooks, standards, exams, and study materials for our students. As a project manager for up to 10 projects simultaneously, the Director of Educational Development will also be responsible for fostering relationships with our authors, instructors, and school owners.

Key Responsibilities

Lead curriculum development and ensure the quality of education programs in line with ASA standards.
Manage relationships with SMEs, authors, instructors, and school owners.
Oversee the development and implementation of standards and exams.
Manage multiple education projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and meet predefined standards.
Oversee the schedule of the graphic designer to align with education program timelines.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Certification as an ASA sailor.
Proven experience in educational development and curriculum creation.
Demonstrated proficiency in project management.

Skills

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A deep understanding of sailing and experience as an ASA-certified sailor.
Experience in educational development and curriculum creation.
